Yesterday I read of a person that found a ferret loose outside that was
infested with ticks and fleas. They used frontline to rid of the fleas
but the ticks remained.

I have used sea water or a couple gallons of regular water with a couple
cups of rock salt dissolved in for a bath. This will make the ticks
release and drop off. Works every time. Would have to do that to my
wife after she spent the night sleeping in the woods and then did that
to the dogs. Did wonders where the salt was just far too much for them.
