I know you said no wire ramps, Jenny, but this is what I did when I
needed a longer ramp than I could find for sale anywhere. I went to Home
Depot and bought a length of coated wire shelving (found in the closet
organizing section) and a carpeted doormat. I cut the wire shelving to
the length I needed (I left it wide, since I had room where it was
going), then cut a chunk of doormat to fit the piece of shelving. I used
wire to attach the doormat to the shelving in a few places and then used
more wire to attach the ramp to the levels it needed to go between. You
could probably use regular cage clips for this as well. It's a very
inexpensive solution, and it worked great. The carpeted doormat could
be cleaned with soapy water or a carpet cleaner.

"Is that my business? Well, what is my business? Do I know? Did I ever
know? Let s not go into that. You re not human tonight, Marlowe. Maybe
I never was or ever will be... Maybe we all get like this in the cold
half-lit world where always the wrong thing happens and never the right."
