This is were you will have people jumping on you and giving you a load
of grief for even suggesting the possibility of owning both rabbits and
ferrets
 
As far as I am concerned you should have no problems with what you intend
doing.
 
I keep my rabbits and ferrets in very close proximity without problems
and as you will not be leaving them in the same area together, then that
should be ok.
