Good Morning everyone,
Thought I'd put my two cents in regarding Natural Gold Ferret Food and
the way I keep Lupron frozen in the freezer.
As for Natural Gold Ferret Food, have had absolutely no luck in getting
my ferrets or cats to eat this food, no matter how long I let it mix
with other ferret or cat foods. Both ferrets and cats will pick out the
Natural Gold Ferret Food and put it on the floor or on their blankets. I
also find that when they eat the food they will eat all the other types
of ferret or cat food I feed them and leave the Natural Gold Ferret Food.
The only way I have found to use any of this food up is to grind it and
mix it with their chicken gravy. I have sure learned my lesson not to
buy large amounts of new food.
As for the Lupron, I questioned Dr. Cathy Johnson Delaney also regarding
how long Lupron can be kept in the freezer and she also said as long as
its frozen it is safe. The way I keep it frozen is put it in one
Tupperware container then put that container in another larger Tupperware
container and then run water in between the two containers and freezer
them that way so there's always frozen water around the container that
has the Lupron in it. I am sure if you lost your electricity long enough
that everything in the freezer is melted then your Lupron would be no
good. With all my Marshall Farm ferrets going adrenal I won't have that
problem here. Just wish they'd quit spaying and neutering ferrets so
young!
