Greetings Ferreter's
It's been a while as I'm rather ill. It takes a bit to get enough energy
for this message but certain loyal ferreters have bid me to climb from
the ferret burrow and speak...
Rabbits and Ferrets, we are talking about domesticated ferrets then I
would say , "No biggy!"
Ferrets as we all know are gentle creatures, seldom to they attack
anything but the occasional over curious cat and even that's a cat chases
ferret, than cat hauls butt with ferret in hot persuit no harm intended.
So would ferrets get along with rabbits, I'd say "YES" , I once found a
mouse in the house and sent the ferrets out to chase it away, they were
just playing with it , it never bit them nor did they bit it . I think
they lose their hunting instinct once they have been domesticated as long
as most have been .
We have a Chihuahua, actually two now , we moved into a house that the
ferrets kept escaping from so I found them a good home (where is my dog
carrier?) but my chihuahua got terribly lonly w/out his friends around ,
so we just got a pup to keep him company. He is very happy, but the
point I'm making is that even dogs get along with ferrets if they are
introduced at an early age.
FLOORING, well to be practical I'd op for a concrete floor with a drain
in the middle , but since this would require much money and work a
plywood floor , properly sealed and caulked in the gaps and coated w/ a
oil based primer, then a couple of top coat of patio or concrete paint
would do great. also use that cheap astro-turf in some places so they
have some grip when running an playing , if it gets frayed , toss it and
place some new in , it's really cheap.
WELL that's it. time to crawl back into the burrow have my medication
and a nap.
