My first post to this subject was rejected and I was asked to change it
a little. I just couldn't do it at the time. After having time to cool
off I am still so steaming mad at the ignorance of this person. I want
to pull my hair out. All they had to say was "I think my ferrets may
have been exposed to AIDS. What can I do?" But then again I supose we
would not have had the chance to "try" and educate them and let them know
that straight people and babies can get AIDS not just gays and bisexuals.
With the internet at their fingertips I sure do hope they are now
motivated to at least educate themselves better and to see that gay does
not mean disease. I hope they continue to have the relationship they had
with their neighbor before finding out he was gay. This neighbor seems
like a caring person to have agreed to look after the ferrets for a week.
If only all of us were so lucky to have someone willing to do this. We
all know what handfuls our fuzzies can be.
