I have been involved in the Frontline debate off list for a few days but
would like to ask a question to other users of Frontline.
 
While dealing with a situation where a number of ferrets had ear mite
infestations it was suggested by two vets that I might try Frontline.  I
have heard the debate about frontline directly in the ear and have to
agree that this seems to carry an increased risk in my opinion.  I used
frontline in the conventional manner and applied it to the back of the
neck.  All six ferrets are now free of mites.
 
Merial themselves are reported to have said that this method is not
effective against ear mites in dogs and cats but has anyone else seen
good results in ferrets through the use of frontline on the neck?
