I'm not sure if you have heard the plight of Jean Caputo of "Ferrets
Unlimited". She is about to lose her home and the home to her shelter
ferrets..please read on how you can help..

Taken from Jean Caputo,

Now that I have reconstructed 5 years of shelter stuff for the IRS I can
sit down and do this.

It isn't the easiest thing for me to do, and it was hard for me to agree
with Lisa to try to help. What made me say ok was a pair of big brown
eyes, set in a little naked body as she ran, jumped and played. You
would hardly know Tinker was an old lady the way she acts.

Everyone knows I have been dancing with stage III cancer, not a nice
waltz either.

I have been out of work since Feb., and have spent most of that time in
the hospital, or recovering from one surgery or another. (Jan. 5 I will
have been out for 8 weeks!) Spent 4 or 5 of the past 10 months in the
Cleveland Clinic.

In the mean time, we are paying the gas, electric, water, sewer, car
insurance, health insurance, and paying for the things that the insurance
won't cover, co pays, deductibles and parking (at the clinic it is at
least $7 in parking everytime I go, usually $10 I am there so long) One
of the meds I was taking wasn't covered under the insurance. $2500 for
ONE shot. After two of them, we basically ran out of anything we could
sell. Thank God the Resident Oncologist came up with a plan so I could
get the meds without having to shell out any more than a deductible. He
would have me come in as an outpatient for treatment. (Treatment was an
IV bag of Ringers and my shot).

Now, I had to borrow money from my son to pay for the home health care
nurses and pt since it went beyond what the insurance covered, and the
clinic has me in collections.

My sisters did a bowling fundraiser in June, that helped, it paid some
medical costs and insurance. I am scared to death about losing it. I
don't want to have to go to Metro. Too many healthy people I know went
there and died.

I have been writing my butt off to anyone and everyone I can think of.
Since Social Security said I didn't qualify as temporary disabled, I
have been on a letter writing campaign.

American Cancer Society, National Cancer Society, Jewish Foundation,
Catholic Charities, Red Cross, United Way, Lions Club, Kiwanas, Knights
of Columbus, Moose, you name it. And to lots of politicians. Wrote to
the tv stations too.

The only thing I asked for from the benevolent groups was if it would be
possible to have them donate a hall so I could try to orgainize a Vegas
Night, or Night at the RAces fund raiser. Not one of them answered. So
if you know anyone in those groups, hint hint hint.

At this point in time, I almost don't care if my face is all over and the
whole world knows what is going on. If it is happening to me, it is
happening to others. Even wrote Montel, Oprah.

I still haven't gotten the ok to go back to work, but once I do I have to
go find a job since the one I had fired me back in May while I was in the
hospital halucinating.

We have nothing left worth selling. We don't live beyond our means. If
we go out it is usually to the local greasy spoon. Gus's, where you can
get breakfast for two including coffee for $5.35.

I am willing to try anything right now. As long as it isn't illegal.

If you got ideas....

After reading this I KNOW your heart aches to help...Jean is about to
lose her home also the home to ALL the shelter ferrets in her care.

Are you thinking already "what can I do???" Well here is a way to help!

sold from here until January 17th to Jean Caputo. The money you pay for
each ticket will be put in Jean's pocket to help her keep her home for
