Hello

I was wondering if anyone out there has had a ferret with a bump (about
the size of a kidney bean) on his/her lip/chin. I noticed my ferret
Everest had a bump like this last week, I'm pretty good about keeping an
eye on him and noticing any sort of changes and I did not notice it until
it was this big. I don't know if somehow I missed it as it was growing
or if it just came up suddenly. I took him to see his vet last week,
we were a little unsure if it was just a bruise/swollen (my husband
accidentally hit him on the face with the door :( My vet put him on some
medication to relieve the pain/swelling and said to monitor things for a
week or so. I have not seen significant changes so I'm a little worried
that it might be something else...possibly a tumor? Please let me know
if you've had experiences with this and what it was/might be?

I thank you.
Carolina and ferret Everest
