Permission to crosspost granted
We were contacted by someone needing to place their ferret into a new
home (free). Male sable ferret named Chevy. He was born 10-01. He has
(according to owner) eosinophillic gastroenteritis and is on prednisolone
2x daily. The owner, Gail, said that he is losing fur so she thinks he
is adrenal (not confirmed, and only 2 years old).
She cannot afford to take care of him and wants to make sure he is placed
in a good forever home. He comes with: travel cage, a ferret pouch,
leash, harness, t-shirt and marshall food that will probably last for 6
months. Cage might be available, unsure right now. He is a sweet boy
and he loves to play.
She has contacted the ferret shelter near her and they will not take in a
sick ferret (unconfirmed).
You can see his picture at

Please contact owner ONLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in giving him a forever
home. This has been very hard on her. Her email address is:

He needs a home as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Joanne Ruffner
