I have been off line for several days but attention was brought to me on
this post: I have some questions for the poster of this message--
Who recommended you add into the recipe hairball remedy? and for WHAT
PURPOSE. We devised this formula of nutritional suppliment under
veterinary advisement in 1998 at Ferret Wise SHelter. There was NO
hairball remedy in it-- and it ( the original recipe) has changed in
formulation under close veterinary supervision over the years.
I would be most interested in knowing who or whom made formulation
changes and for what reason.
Hairball remedy is NOT adviseable in a nutritional application - it
impedes the absorption of the nutritional suppliments by accelerating
elimination.
Karo or honey is now replaced with Tahitian Noni, chromium picolinate
has been eliminated from the recipe - it is not needed when natural
supplimentation of pancreatrophin PMG is used for hypo or hyper insulin
conditions..
Also in closing I add - that make sure your ferret has been dx'd by a
veterinarian with conditions BEFORE you give supplimentation or you could
compound the poor health. The veterinarian needs to be informed of
supplimentation and understand it .
Those who want more information on the natural nutrition program offered
by Standard Process can locate it at:
http://www.standardprocess.com/sp_conventions_seminars.asp
the following opportunities for veterinary application seminars are
listed- the OH event is by FAR the most educational! SP has developed
Canine & feline formulations for veterinary application. Due to several
factors the human suppliments are used for our ferret rehab at Ferret
Wise.

arise from aspiration.
