The thank you page is now complete so folks can check it out. For anyone
who donated to United, we need your names and addresses to send a receipt
and to list your name on the page. We received $230 in donations to
United and another $300 from S.O.S.!! That paid for the first wave of
testing. We have roughly 35 more tests, which adds up to about $280 more
that will be billed to us this Friday. Folks still have time to send in
checks or call. Shannon at United has been wonderful in dealing with
folks and taking their credit card info.

We have so far paid $250 to the vet, but have yet to scratch the surface
as far as needed surgeries and yearly visits. Only 15 ferrets have been
done and the chordoma removed. Donations to the vet are urgently and
greatly needed.

We hope to begin transport on the weekend of the 11th. Michelle will
touch base with Nancy (Ferrets Across America) again and start contacting
folks closer to this date. We prefer these ferrets go into homes and
shelters that ADV test as we did go through the expense of doing so
ourselves. Most should be vaccinated by that time and all will be ADV
tested.

The ferrets themselves are settling in. They seem much less frightened
and much more active. They thrive on human interaction and will not
leave you alone if you are out sitting with them. We do still have two
biters, but they are being handled when possible and are getting much
love and comfort. Their ears have finally started to clear up and their
stools are better. We have three with diarrhea still so we may have the
vet do a fecal float to be sure nothing more serious is going on.

We also have our new Raffle of the Month on the web site under the
fundraiser section. One way or the other, we will have ebay items this
weekend as well. We are also offering the 2004 ferret calendar for sale

Items Needed:
