We were blessed not to lose power on Thursday.  Ours just flickered in
CT, while some areas of the state did lose power for about 3 hours.  I
felt very fortunate while watching New Yorkers (on t.v.) all out in the
streets trying to get home.  At least, if we did lose power, I could
bring Nexus down cellar where it is cooler.  I thought about people
that live in apartment buildings that have ferrets.  I hope no ferrets
suffered because of the heat.  We have been asked not to use
washers/dryers, dishwashers, and pool filters until after 8 p.m. to help
conserve energy.
 
We hope for those that lost power that it has been restored.  We really
take things for granted when we have them.
