You guys will love this.
As you know, I took in another little blaze female named Lexxie from a
girl that could not take care of her because she had "potty problems".
But when I went to pick her up, she had 2 cats running around and a
couple of guinea pigs, that looked like they took their potty privilages
wherever they wanted.
She wanted me to pay her $90 for her cage (one level rabbit cage) and
for some of her hammies. I told her I could not afford that, but that
I would pay for the ADV test if she gave me her favorite toy and hammie,
so I could put it in my cage at home to make her transition easier.
On the ride home she fell asleep in my lap and when I got home I put her
in a seperate cage because I am waiting on the results of my ADV tests.
She tested negative on the instant test, but as I have been told, that
does not hold much bearing.
As soon as I put her in the cage she walked right into the litter box and
went potty. In her cage now and out at play time, she has not missed a
litter yet. I also use wood pellets instead of kittly litter, and in her
old cage she had kitty litter.
I think she thinks she is a person though. She does not seem to have any
interest in any of the other ferrets when she is out to play and they are
up in their cages or in a seperate play room. Most ferrets would smell
around the cages and try to look at the other ferrets. But, nope, not
her. She rather be on a leash or in my arms giving kisses.
I must say, I truly adopted a ferret angel!!
