You have no idea what the paper said! How in the heck is that proof of
anything? You would be laughed out of a court of law on that one. You
make it sound like this vet is perfect. No vet is perfect. They do make
costly mistakes. The difference is if they are man or woman enough to
say hey I screwed up, I'm sorry.
I think both you and Sukie would feel different if it was one of your
ferrets. Sukie fought so hard to save that last little ferret. She
could tell me till she was blue in the face that it was alright because a
namebrand vet did it and I know that wouldn't be true. She would still
be hurt and she'd be more apprihensive next time.
I think my vet is great. She does alot for shelters and for me as a
person. She is known as a ferret specialist, however, 2 months ago she
made a very bad judgement call and I almost lost my baby from it. She
didn't give me 5 or 6 different answers, she told me, I screwed up, I'm
really sorry. She now has my complete faith that she'll deal with me
fairly.
I'm glad that you've had wonderful success with this vet. However, there
are others that haven't and just because you've had wonder success with
her, doesn't mean that she hasn't screwed up elsewhere.
You say Sandy's is all one sided, well so is your side. I don't know
either one of you but I sure could hear Sandy's pain and indignation at
an injustice that was done to her. That doesn't make her the one to put
the study in jepordy. The vet that screws something up and won't take
accountability for it is the one that does that. It they take
responsibilty for their mistakes, that shows that they are trying to
learn and don't think they already know it all.
And that is my opinion!
Holly
And yes, I'm sure I'll get flamed for my opinion from some but this whole
thing makes me physically ill to even think about so I'm not going to be
reading anymore about this subject.
