i agree mis-information is a problem, and just hope all prospective
ferret owners seek further information.
 
while we are on the topic: my boyfriend's grandparents breed Siberian
Husky dogs, and have a litter of puppies at the moment.  they have had
people over, wishing to purchase a puppy and have received questions
like "How big do huskies grow?" and "Where do we buy dog food?"
 
it is a worry that people do not look into their future pets a bit more.
