On Feb. 21st we helped our BamBam to the bridge. Sadly one week later,
on Feb. 28th little Oz was diagnosed with a massive tumor in his belly.
The x-rays didn't show for sure where it was growing from, and surgery
would not have helped from the size of it. He was not walking, and had
stopped eating. The vet said we could try pred, and maybe buy a couple
weeks.

We brought him home and started on pred. WOW, in 3-4 days he seemed
almost normal. He would tire easily, but he was walking, eating and the
best part, playing. We were so glad for every day, but knew our time
together was so short. We hoped for two weeks.

Well, days turned weeks, and weeks turned into months. We are exactly
9 1/2 week today. Oz had not been playing much, and tired very very
quickly lately. He was still eating, pooping and exploring some at night
during playtime. On Tuesday night all seemed fine, we all sat in the
floor and had chicken treats, which he tried to be a pig with as usual.
Everyone went to bed and 40 minutes later I was startled to hear the
dreaded warning sound the vet warned me about. He would throw up
anything he ate. This would be my signal for the end. It was time.

I woke up and hoped I would find him still alive when I went downstairs
this morning. He was, but he was hurting. He was tired and didn't want
to move, eat, not even a treat. It was time.

We snuggled, we took pictures and he rested through the day. At 5pm on
May 7th Oz joined his brother and sisters at the bridge.

It hurts to lose two in less than three months, but we feel so blessed to
have had those 9 1/2 weeks together.

Hugs and love Oz. Sweetie Pie, Missie and BamBam will be there to
welcome you and show you around. Know always that we loved you and will
miss you.
