Howdy. The compounding pharmacy our vet's office uses uses metronidazole
(flagyl) benzoate, which is a less bitter "diluted" version of flagyl,
and which goes down a lot easier than regular flagyl; they just adjust
the dosage to meet the needs based on the initial flagyl dosage.
Also, they have something relatively new now called bitter-something
(I'll post the actual name when I doublecheck on Monday) that does
something to the granules of meds like prednisone and makes that less
bitter, too. We have a client whose ferret will be trying this, and
I'll let you know how her ferret likes it!
