It's been a long road of emotions since my baby-girl (and first) left me
in November - Chipper. Death does not come easy to me, and I've dealt
with a lot it in the past couple of years when my parents passed away.
I've been taking my sweet-ass time adopting some fuzzballs again. For
those of you that have youngins', old age and illness wear on your heart.
One shelter has been holding a trio for me till I'm ready to adopt again.
Since Thanksgiving weekend I have been 'fostering' a foster ferret from
another family on extended weekends. (Trying to slowly get back into
ferrets in my home and job situation.)
Miss Casey will be 9 years old this spring. She is advanced adrenal and
not a surgical candidate. Melatonin will be started today and Lupron
considered down the road.
Casey's enthusiasm, joy, and dooking remind me of what life is about -
It's short and enjoy it. She brings me happiness that I can't fully
explain.
