Hey all. This is my first post, but I have been reading FML for a few
months now. Something about answers to things or questions I didn't know
I wanted answered appear here daily, and I love to read the cute stories.
My question now is regarding my first born fuzzy. We got bobo (we were
virgin ferret owners, but now we are hooked!) at the petsmart (like a lot
of folks) and he is a Marshall. After about a year we decided he needed
a friend and I found the Washington State Ferret Rescue....they were so
helping introducing our next baby Nooka to the Bobo man. They are now
fast friends.

Enough background. Now to my question. Bobo has always been a picky
eater, didn't like a lot of things, but I had finally gotten him to eat
Totally Ferret, but his poop was always seedy and most of the times soft.
So, I worked him over to Path Valley. Got him transitioned to almost
all Path Valley for about 3 bags full. His poop got no better, and he
started to loose weight. He had one afternoon what I call an "episode"
where his feet turned red, he slid around on his nose, lifted his feet up
while he ate, and made mom and dad quite nervous. We washed his feet off
thinking it may have been a topical allergic reaction. He seemed to get
better, but I took him to the doctor the next or day after. They thought
perhaps Insulonoma (?) but his blood sugar and blood work appeared fine.
That day he stopped eating on his own. That was Easter. Since then he
has had several kinds of medicines, been back to the ferret doc three
times, had x-rays, poop tested, a course of Clavomox, Metro, and Pepto
(didn't change a thing) now we are trying Pepcid and Batril. (You know
how he feels about Batril!) He is pretty darn tired of mom giving him
beds, but STILL refuses to eat OR DRINK. Last week his poop had a little
of what looked like blood in it also.I am mixing up kibble and baby food
for him which he eats on his own, grinding his teeth quite a bit while
eating it. Now he is fat (mom is doing her job!) and still not eating
and drinking. They thought Irritable bowel, but not sure. The x-ray
looks normal.

I am at a loss. He is very dramatic and sometimes seems like he "cries
wolf" and since he is my first born, I am very intuned to him. His
brother remains a brut that will eat anything, and who's poop looks
great no matter what he eats!

So..... does anyone have ideas, or any route I might attempt next? I
would like to leave for longer than like 5 hours, but I can't. I work at
home, so it helps. What about an allergy to some food, or trying raw
food, or has anyone tried a naturopathic doc? I don't know what to do.
He still plays with his brother (not as long, since his brother is like
ROBOFERRET!) but still plays like he did.

Anyway, if you have any suggestions....PLEASE let me know. I know
something has and IS STILL going on in that guy, and I want to find
out what to help him.

Sorry this is so long, but I wanted everyone to have the full story.
Thank you so much for all your help.
