I do believe I have responded several times to this question of raw, dry,
cracked pads on Ferret feet. This time of year is a good time for this
information to be put on this forum, especially the newbies out there.
I know that this is not the only solution but here is what I do. When I
notice the cracking or dryness, I rub on "Bag Balm".
It really works and very quickly too. I use it on my own hands so I know
it works well. This petroleum jelly like stuff has been around for years
and is primarily used on cow udders. There is a web site to check it
out. Its www.bagbalm.com. Give it a try on your ferret's feet and your
own hands. I use a lot of bleach as a disinfectant and it really drys
my hands out. I have to use the stuff to heal the skin.I have been using
this since 1980 on the ferrets and longer on myself.
