A local has made a plapen out of 4 pcs of plastic pegboard.  The boards
are held together with computer ties.  All you have to do is cut the
computer ties from one side and it collapses down.
 
Put a pc a linoleum under it for messes.
 
Estimated cost $60.
 
I aksed about ferrets climbing out and he said no.
 
we use a popular home built ferret playpen that stands 2 ft high and a
few of the tinier girls and fiestier males can jump out with no effort.
