Sunday morning I got home from work around 8 as usual. I had been
worrying about Baby Zingor all evening and had been telling the girls at
work how I was afraid that she was going to need surgery after all. So
the first thing I did was check on her and let her out of the cage for a
little bit. She was so happy to get out of the cage and play that she
started dancing the minute her feet hit the floor. Then she started
trying to jump up and grab my leg with both paws! She ran lightening
fast around the room chasing the other two ferrets and by the time I
caught her to look her over she had nearly wore herself out! :-) She's
straightening that front arm all the way out now. I'm thinking that the
swelling went down and that was why she couldn't extend it before. I was
exhausted from work, but I couldn't help but sit and watch her play. It
felt good and I'm so happy that she's back to normal now. What a relief.
Some more god news~
I pick up Aley this afternoon. She's the 6 month old chocolate girl
that my uncle picked up saturday for me. He says she's an absolute
doll. He doesn't think the owner abused her, he was just young and VERY
irresponsible. (feeding her puruia kitten chow and let her loose in the
bed of his truck as he drove her to meet up with my uncle! Can you
believe it!) My uncle said she likes to ride around on your shoulders and
he's gotten pretty fond of her over the weekend. :-) He says her ears
look gross and she has a pretty strong scent so I don't think the kid
ever cleaned them. I'll have to remember to toss a bottle of cleaner in
my bag so I can clean them when I get to his house. I'm sure I'll have
another post for this edition of the FML later on today after I pick her
up and I'd be willing to bet I have pictures of her on the computer by
tomorrow. I think I'm going to take the baby with me to pick her up
since my uncle hasn't seen her yet (except for pictures) I'm hoping that
the two of them can bond while I'm over at his house and that it will
make the transition to our house a little easier. I figure if she has a
friend that can show her the ropes it might be less stressful...
Thanks to everyone who offered advice about Baby Z's arm. It was the
first time I have ever had anything happen to one of the ferrets and I
was just beside myself with worry. It was so comforting to know that
there are other people out there who will take the time out of their day
to send a kind word, warm wishes and lots of great advice. THANKS YOU'RE
ALL THE BEST!
