Steve showed me the tilda use in searches by his use of "~ ferret" in Google so I wanted to try something different and I put '~ "ferret history" ' into Google. Here are some of the fun URLs found tonight: http://www.ferrets.org/Ferret_History.htm and http://www.luvferrets.com/history.htm About now in the search I've encountered multiple pages with no ferret history and am wondering why http://www.ferretcentral, http://www.doctorbeer.com/joyce/ferrets/frhistpg.htm, and http://home.worldonline.nl/~wfu/drawings.html aren't in the list, yet... Then just when I am bemoaning that I find this treasure: http://www.ohioferret.org/HistoryMain.asp Then some BFF stuff including: http://www2.canisius.edu/~noonan/cac1999/ferhis.htm, http://www.co.blm.gov/lsra/bffhistory.htm, http://www.co.blm.gov/lsra/bffchron.htm, http://www.blackfootedferret.org/research-vargas.html, http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/nebraska/gpng/reports/ferret_guidelines.html Then some more ferret vehicle pages and some non-history things, and finally ferret central... I'm glad Google didn't miss it. This one's pretty: http://hometown.aol.com/fscottg/page2.html http://my.en.com/~rcmcr/info.html#anchor386806 is one I've never seen before. http://www.canit.se/~stif/illern.htm is in Swedish and English. A treat some folks will want to get: http://modernferret.safeshopper.com/2/91.htm?251 A links page I hadn't seen before and want to spend a lot more time with because it looks truly impressive: http://www.fothferrets.com/ferretinfo.html . About now I am tiring badly, though... See: http://www.cypresskeep.com/Ferretfiles/Domestic-FUSA.htm, http://members.rogers.com/mdhertrich/history1.html, http://members.rogers.com/mdhertrich/art.html, down under something other than the bed http://www.abc.net.au/creaturefeatures/facts/ferret.htm, http://www.practical-pet-care.com/article_view.php?ver=9, http://www.vetcarepc.com/Ferrets.htm is by a vet w a neat visual effect (history?) http://www.ferretcompany.com/content/aboutferrets.html, http://www.citizenlunchbox.com/famous/critters-M-R.html, and much more... Oh, BTW, if you are traveling to a ferret event, put the address in to Google http://www.google.com in the spot for searches, as in "Mustelid Manor City, Massachusetts" and it will help you find maps to the the event!
