Dooks to all !! Well, we are finally able to breath a tad bit and are
able to get some of our new intakes out of isolation. The first four
(Pepi, Tobey, Dewy, and Micki) had their ADV tests come back negative!!
The next group of 11 have had their samples sent out and we should have
their results Monday... Over the weekend, while in the middle of our
yardsale, we got a call from a local pet store. Apparently, while a
couple was moving into their new house, a ferret came hobbling out of one
of the rooms. The man remembered seeing a cage left in the garage and
proceeded to open the garage door and open the cage door. The ferret ran
righ to the cage. He took the ferret to the pet store: Enter Teensie,
When we picked her up, she was so very small, emaciated, half bald, and
so scared. She did not bite, she didn't have the energy. She could
barely walk. This was last Saturday. A week later, she is eating like
a pig and rehydrated. She bounces around the room and picks fights with
the biggest ferrets she can find.. LOL. She is still a tad shy, but
doing very well. It's good to see her up and about, it just makes us
wonder what people are thinking- to leave her abandoned as they did?
Alas, we are happy to have her.....

I also wanted to remind everyone, once again, that this is the last week
of our Raffle of the Month. For those that bought tickets last month
and did not win, the beautiful, unique paper mache box is up for raffle
again (thanks to April Gallaty for redonating after winning!) This box
is about 9 inches and has a hand painted ferret silouette in the cover.
Check it out and the deatails of the raffle on our web site under the
"events" section. Tickets are only $1.00 each and 6 for $5.00!!! Thanks
in advance and good-luck!!

Wishing everyone out there well and sending love and good thoughts to
the sick ferrets!!

Sincerely,
Michelle
