Sevie has managed almost 6 and 1/2 months (on the 5th) with Complete A/V
Heart Node Block, but she needs careful medicating. One of her meds gets
given along with banana, a/d and some other things in a soup specially
designed around her needs. With her ascites despite meds she isn't
always as interested in food as she should be on a given day, so we often
pretend that one of the other ferrets is right there trying to get up to
steal the soup. Today that wore off, so Steve tried something new. He
brought out the ducky, squeaked it, and told her that the ducky was going
to steal her soup. She glared at the ducky and resumed eating. So, we
did it together: one of us holding her food, her face-wiping tissue, and
a spoon, and the other holding her and the ducky (now and then squeaking
the ducky). Ducky got many dirty looks and her soup just about got
finished.
