Good Morning All,
Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was BEAUTIFUL :-) My Thoughts and Prayers
go out to all those who have recently lost a Fuzzie or animal, and to all
those Fuzzie's and animal's who are sick or homeless.
In reply to skinny ferret's I have a Silver Boy (his name is Trouble) he
has always been skinny. Trouble is an extremly big eater but never gains
any weight. He is also very long. Now he is adrenal and has lost his
hair and his ribs show and he looks like a skeleton, but has not lost any
weight at all and remains at the same weight. I believe that this is his
nature to be skinny. He is still eating like the little piggy that he is
and his poops are normal so I know that the food is not going through
him. The vet says that there is nothing wrong with him being thin /
skinny. He eats alot of duck soup also and I put nutrical in it at times
(not all the time) I don't want to give him too much sugar which nutrical
has. So just maybe you don't have to worry too much and it's just their
nature to be thin or skinny, if they weren't eating or drinking water
then I would start to worry. I also know hooman's that can eat and eat
and never gain a pound (that makes me so jealous LOL) and stay thin or
skinny.
I also have a Fuzzie that weighs over 4lbs and is a chublet :-) This one
eats untill he can hardly move and sometimes ends up with a tummy ache.
I am thinking of inventing a tread mill for him LOL. I know that this
is not good for him so I am thinking of putting him on a diet, I just
haven't figured out how I am going to do this without having to seperate
him from his 3 cage mates. I think he would be very stressed and
depressed if I seperate him. So if anyone out there has any suggestions
I would appreciate some feed back on this subject. I feed my Babie's a
mix of Totally Ferret and Wysong's Vitality and Nurture. I appreciate
any feedback on this subject. My vet says he is healthy otherwise, so he
is just a fat little butterball that loves to eat, and eat, and eat. :-)
A GREAT WEEK TO ALL, and HAPPY FERRETING :-)
Dawn and the Terrible Two's Gang, Trouble, Rosy, and Fat Boy Joey and the
new Fuzzbutt Dru :-)
Still Missing my Tazy Terribly !!!!!!
