Im so sorry Jako is having such a tough time.  Ulcers are unforgiving and
it takes time and a lot of patience from you.  Once they have an ulcer
there are days when you think they are just not going to make it.  You
force feed them not only meds but food.  But they can overcome this with
your persistance.  You just need to make sure that while they may not be
eating on their own they still have the will to go on even though it may
not seem so.  You need to make sure (most importantly) that Jako stays
hydrated.  This to me is the upmost important of those who have ulcers
because you can bet if they are not eating on their own, they are def not
drinking.  A ferret can die from dehydration much faster than starvation.
 
Be persistant, be paitient and above all know that you CAN get him
through this.
