Congratulations on your first child.
There are only a couple of things I could think of........
You could cage them like your mom mentioned....
MY feelings about time alloted for ferrets maybe different from other
people. I ran across a time when my schedule did not permit me to play
with them everyday. I did the step in the room and give food and water.
Quick kisses and love yas. I felt very guilty during that time. But,
that time pasted. I am happy for that. I did make time for the rehabs
because they were caged. Usually, the ones I have don't get into too
much when they are out. So, I could do something in the kitchen and feel
they were safe.
Having a baby is a big responsibility. So, having a baby and 6 ferts is
a real big job. It would really take alot of adjustments. I think it
all depends on what you can handle.
Other options. Maybe find a foster home for a couple of months. Maybe
you have to let some go to other homes.
Another thing that may help is to write down your pros and cons. Once
you take a look at your list. Then list your options. You maybe able to
make the best decision then.
Good Luck I know it is probably a hard decision.
