That's what I've found.  We make our own compost in 3 year cycles.  I
have three separate bins.  Each year I use the next bin until the
original one is 3 years old.  Compost needs to "work" through heat and
oxygen plus enzymes for about 3 years.  So you can add the ferret poop
to your compost, but don't use it for a few years.  I usually encourage
folks who buy those plastic bins from the garden catalogues to get a few,
because one year traditionally is not enough for us who like to grow
organically.
