Friday we had xrays and bloodwork done on Scooter. He had a very high
calcium count. He also had a large growth in his abdomen, and three
vertebra were very thin and two others had holes in them. His diagnosis
was juvenile lymphosarcoma. I chose to bring him home. Saturday early
evening, as I held him in my arms, he left this realm.

Scooter was very energetic. When I came home he would run around jumping
up on my legs for me to pick him up.

When I picked him up he'd let me hug and kiss him then he wanted down,
only to jump on my legs again and ask to do it all again. My regret is
that a few times I'd tell him no cause I was washing dishes or making
recipe and I couldn't hold him and do those tasks too. Now I know I
should have never said no. The recipe and dishes would have waited.

He loved the other ferrets and he was a big boy, weighing in at 3 1/4
lbs, full beautiful dark butterscotch/tan coat. Scooter was 22 months
old.

In Scooter's memory, please spend a little extra loving time with your
little ones. And remember, sometimes there isn't a tomorrow to do what
you put off today.

Warm hugs to all. tle
