are a year of age or uy, IMO, it is not the "bulletproof" vaccine the ferret
>community was hoping for.

No, it's not. I have seen two reactions to it since it came out.
However, in the same amount of time before it came out, I'd seen over
twenty reactions to Fervac. In the greater scheme of things, it's still
much, much better. [...]35_29Mar200321:54:[log in to unmask] 0303 30300 20 41_two ferrets looking for home Cleveland OH11_Linda [log in to unmask], 30 Mar 2003 16:42:45 -0500532_- I got a call today from someone who is looking for a home for his two
ferrets. They are about 2-2 1/2 years old, the male is "tan" and the
female a "darker tan or brown". They sound like normally active happy
ferrets.

He got the ferrets last August from someone who did not want them
anymore, and now he is moving and cannot take them. He has a large
cage that he would like to sell, but finding a good home for the
ferrets is more important and he would place them at no charge. [...]45_30Mar200316:42:[log in to unmask] 0303 30321 36 48_Two year old with special needs in TN needs home11_Pam [log in to unmask], 30 Mar 2003 13:17:05 -0500506_- I was contacted about finding a new home for a special needs (bites
other family members) ferret in Tennessee. The owner told me she has
tried lots of things to work with the ferret, including all of her
vet's suggestions and suggestions from other ferret owners. I have sent
her Bob C's post about biters and also to Wolfy's pages about deafness.
Please contact Kathy directly since I don't have this ferret; her contact
info and more about the ferret and her situation is below. [...]44_30Mar200313:17:[log in to unmask] 0303 30358 36 15_training biters15_valerie [log in to unmask], 29 Mar 2003 23:36:12 -0800504_- Bob C. Wrote:

be just like the books told me to. Let him get comfortable with his
surroundings.

Well I decided while he was in there that his food was not in a great
spot and put my hand in to move it. I swear I have never seen ANYTHING
move as fast as he did. He clamped down on my thumb and would not let
go. I was scared and not really sure what to do so I stayed quiet and
let him hold on [...]48_30Mar200303:20:[log in to unmask] 0303 30478 31 51_Re: Bob C: Re: HELP and OUCH, They all bite. OUch !13_Rebecca [log in to unmask], 30 Mar 2003 12:09:39 EST348_- This rocks! This would help skittish deaf ferrets also. Bob, your steps
are similar to the ones that I have privately told people via email ...
but you do it so much better (of course). You have it down to a science
and forget nothing.

Ferreters, many biters that are deaf, are fear biter
