Hello all,
Ferret math has struck me and my parents again. My parents had 4 ferrets
already: Johnnie, Laser, Doc and Stevie. I already had 2: George and
Grizzly. Well on Tuesday night, we rescued 5 more ferrets. I got a
male and female, my parents got 2 females, and we got a hob who just got
neutered and descented yesterday morning. I am VERY please with my 2.
My female, Brandy, looks like a slightly bigger, darker version of
Grizzly. She's very laid back and a sweetheart. Then my male, Tazz
(named after my old Siberian Huskey who was a DORK!) And he has lived up
to he's name. He's a dark sable and is an almost exact replica of
George, just one big dork who bounces around everywhere. I'm very
surprised how much they act and partially look like George and Grizzly,
it's weird. Our now neutered male Quest has been having trouble with
Johnnie, wait, she's had trouble with EVERYONE. She was moved into her
own cage b/c she does nothing be start fights with EVERYONE! Serious
one's too. We are giving her timeouts and that seems to help, she
definetly needs to get used to our LAST ferrets we are going to get.
My parents 2 Dannie, and K.D are doing so-so. They arn't very ferret
friendly, they'd rather be by themselves, but I think they will get
better. So, now we have 4 cages set up for 11 ferrets!!! Thank god only
4 of them are mine, the rest are my parents lol. George had to get his
distemper shot again today. Dr. Schnak was saying what a sweetie he is
b/c he doesn't bite and loves to give kisses. He wasn't very happy
though after the shot, he didn't want anything to do with Dr. Schnak.
Then I went out and a lady that was getting her labs vaccinated saw him
and said that he was beautiful and asked what he was. I said that he was
a ferret. I asked her is she wanted to see him. She thought he was
beautiful (I'm so happy I have such a handsome boy) Then I had to go get
my check cashed for the week. I went to the drive up and they asked me
what I had, and I ended up pulling him out for everyone to see, they all
thought he was beautiful too. (Blushes) As soon as he got home, it was
up to bed. Poor baby.
I also moved all 4 into a bigger cage last night, it's kinda neat but
doesn't have too much sleeping space. It's got a very big floor, with a
built in-pull out to clean litter box in it. Then on the side is a
little platform that leads up to a (somewhat) steep ramp, from there is a
place to go to bed, then near the front is a sort of tunnel that leads to
another bed on the other side, and they all have rails so the fuzzies
don't hurt themselves. I think I'm gonna do something different with the
ramp though, mabye put a higher guard rail on it. Poor George has had a
couple of light tumbles down to the platform. But otherwise, it's great
b/c it's bigger than the last one and they can chose where to sleep. I'm
glad they got moved. Well, my arms are HURTING from writing so much.
Get to hang out with everyone tommorow (SMILES BIG) been kinda busy this
week and haven't had too much time, but tommorow is gonna be one big
cuddle fest. lol. Goodnight all (is 11:06 while I'm writing this)
