Dear Ferret Folks-

Yesterday Linda, a new FML member (welcome!), said that her little eight
week old fuzzy Seiko had a cold. Was there anything she could do to help
him feel better?

Oh, I can think of many things.....

1)Dump the contents of your wallet, credit cards, social security card,
etc. on the floor, and let him stash them under the sofa. Give him
your wedding ring while you're at it, they like shiny things.

2)Bring all of your houseplants down where he can reach them with his
widdle bitty paws and let him dig. If possible, let him do this on an
expensive carpet.

3)Brush ferretone on the letters of your computer keyboard and let him
write his autobiography with his tongue. Better still, brush it on the
cat!

4)Take every drinking glass in the house and pour an inch of something
that stains badly, say Hawiian Punch, in the bottom of each and every
one. Set them all down on that expensive carpet that you put the
houseplants on earlier, and watch the fun begin!

5)Even better, go to the library and take out half a dozen books. Lay
them all on the floor and put one of those glasses down on each one of
them. Stand back!

6)Bring your little guy to one of those huge supermarkets that has a
fresh ingredient buffet set up for take-out. You know the ones, they
have trays of cut up vegetables and potato salad and hard-boiled eggs?
You fill up a container and pay by the pound at the register? Just drop
him in the buffet. Let him play. (He is an albino...maybe you don't
want him to dig in the cold beet salad, he'll turn pink.)

Hey, feel better little dude, really.
Alexandra in Mass.
