Shoot, *I* lack the disciple to feed my ferrets entirely on homemade
foods. And I'm mature enough to admit it and not be insulted by the
statement. That does not mean I lack the intelligence or the ability -
I've made chicken gravy and turkey gravy for my kids. I simply have more
to do in a day than spending hours making ferret food.
I can't even keep myself fed entirely on homemade foods - who of you can
say you can? "Lack of disciple to do X" does not mean you're completely
undisciplined, or unskilled, or stupid. Let's try not to be so touchy,
hey?
As a matter of fact, I suspect that Bob himself "lacks the disciple" to
feed his ferrets only on homemade foods. I recall some posts from a few
years ago in which he describes mixing several different kibbles for his
crew. Unless he has changed his ways, he feeds some kibble too. Neither
does that invalidate his recent arguments. It is simply, as he points
out, convenient for us humans who, after all, still have to earn the
money to provide our ferrets with food, and shelter, and veterinary
care....
