Hi there ~

I don't watch a lot of T.V., but have several times seen the Verizon ad
featuring the ferret. Frankly, each time I have seen it, I've roared
with laughter (something I don't do that often ... a smile, a chucke
perhaps, but ...). And no, I'm not insensitive to the ferret community.
Until recently I ran a rescue, and have five ferrets of my own. Friends
who have also seen the commercial have responded as I have. One, who
particularly did NOT like ferrets (thinking they had no personality,
foolish woman!) said she'd never realized before how intelligent they
were, and has now started interacting with and enjoying the company of
my ferrets. Because of the fellow's behavior in the ad, most folks I've
talked to (and yes, I have talked to people about it just to make sure I
wasn't missing something here) don't see the ad as portraying ferrets as
vicious, but as responding intelligently to a Neanderthal.

Just my 2 cents ...
