Chocolate is not toxic to my ferrets, the only ones I can speak for.
The six of them once stole an entire bag of Hersheys kisses and ate
about half the bag (over a period of several days) before I discovered
it.  None of them got sick.  An accidental experiment that I wouldn't
perform intentionally, but I do give them an occasional chocolate chip.
