Hi, all. A poetic friend of mine who used to live with Shawn and the
ferrets and I wrote this-enjoy!

>Hey, I got inspired by all you ferret people so I wrote something you
>might be interested...

>Dreaming of Octavius
>
>Late one wintery night
>As I snuggled pillow close
>And dared to dream
>There came floating
>Multi-hued images of
>The oddest ferret I had ever seen
>
>Yellow eyes in a sea of deep purple fur and
>Wet nose a colour I won't mention
>It was the smoking jacket
>Sunday paper, and amber lit pipe
>That got my attention
>
>His legs dangled from the chair
>In that cozy book filled study
>He noticed me and looked up
>Cocked head to one side and squeaked
>You need something buddy
>
>Taken aback at the sight
>And the words the fuzzy guy spoke
>I looked in the lamp housing
>for camera or puppeteer
>Or other sign of a joke
>
>I spoke in my turn
>O'er Simpsons on his tele
>I've some kibbles and water
>for you to sip and sup while
>I rub your soft belly
>
>Master Octavius looked pleased
>And announced I'll try it
>But give me a few with the funnies
>I'm in the middle of Garfield
>And its really a riot
>
>I stood and waited and watched
>The forrest green pipe puff
>He dined and he drank and
>My hand rubbed his tummy
>Till he signalled twas enough
>
>Octavious then nodded off
>Leaving me still a bit in awe
>This fuzzy ferrit seemed real
>All I could do was retreat
>To come to terms with what I saw
>
>Then a snow clad tree
>Cracked and fell with a boom
>I screamed and sat up
>Rubbed both eyes clear
>To better survey the room
>
>Octavius the grey and tan
>Looked up slightly when I said
>My purple shirt is cozy huh
>He stretched in agreement
>And with that we both went back to bed
