On the 12th December, 1906, J.V.  Rundle fell overboard from the
Torpedo-Boat Destoyer Ferret off Berry Head, the sea being rough and the
vessel steaming 6 knots at the time.  Frederick Houghton, Petty Officer
1st Class jumped in and brought him back to the ship, but he did not
recover.

The coin depicts the Ballottra, or weasel, a nocturnal animal which
feeds on small animals such as frogs, rodents, lizards, nestlings and
small rabbits. The coin is in copper and zinc with a slight
percentage of nickel. It has a weight of 2.81g and measures 18.51mm
in diameter with a plain edge.
