Yesterday (7-26-02) I took 4 of 13 ferrets to the vet for their distemper
shots and one rabies shot. They all was fine (I pre treat with benadryl)
with the shots except my ferret Mick a 4 year old dark sable. He started
to throw up. We think he had a reaction to the shot but the vet and I
are not sure if it was a reaction or stress from them trying to do an
ultra sounds and draw blood. They kept him for about an hour and half
and he is fine now. He is scheduled Thursday to be sedated to have his
blood drawn and to do an ultra sound as his kidneys feel extremely large.
My question is what if anything can they do to him for his kidneys?

My ferret weasle a 1 year old cinnamon has an enlarged pancreas. The vet
said he will adventaully get inslounomia (sp). I am gonna have some
blood work and an ultra sound done on him in September. My question is
can I still give him ferretone? What types of things can he have? Feel
free to email me privately at [log in to unmask]

Thanks
Julie
