I have been talking to a lady who works as a dispatcher for animal
control in cali and luckily, she has not made this aware to animal
control itself. A lady contacted her stating to have caught a ferret in
her yard. She laid a card board box over it, but failed to put something
heavy over the box-so the ferret escaped, but is apparently has been
hanging around her yard. The dispatcher offered to help this lady catch
the ferret the next day, but the other wouldn't let her come. She talked
her into contacting a wildlife place that is a bit more ferret friendly
than animal control.

I have been given permission to pass on this info and the email of the
dispatcher for anyone who may of lost a ferret and would like to get more
info on it. The ferret is in the sacremento area and the ladies email is

Hope this fuzzy finds his/her way home. Cali is such a dangerous place
to be a lost ferret. :(
