My 2 cents.  I have three babies.  I change bedding daily and litter
boxes morning and night.  Hammie's get washed on saturday with the rest
of the families wash.  Cage gets pulled apart on saturdays too.  Outside
for a good scrubbing with plain water.  Fuzzies get a bath every two
weeks in the summer and every month or so in the winter.  Yes, I know
that's a little often, but I'm alergic to the dander on them, so they get
lots of water play to rid them of as much as possible.  Also, I don't
always use soap when bathing them.  Often, it's just 6-8" of water in the
tub and everyone has a good swim.  (for those of you who have never tried
it, 2 of my 3 love to swim, but you have to stay right with them.  Think
newborn baby type watching).  Wow, sorry, that was more than 2 cents
worth.
