You are more likely to be allergic to the cats than you are to the
ferrets.

Claritin is a prescription drug and works pretty well.
 
I have allergic rhinitis and take Claritin.  I also have a G.E. HEPA
filter which runs ALL the time and does a LOT of good.  I changed the
filters in it just the other day and couldn't believe how much junk it
had taken out of the air.
