Annie...
 
we were told about "Essence of Peppermint" Oil...you can get it at health
food stores...i do not know where else...it is NOT harmful to ferrets...
 
it works for us...i put it in a bottle with a dropper...and laid down
some drops where the ants were/came in...voila!..no more ants...
 
of course you will need to re-apply as needed...se an ant...put more
down...
 
if i have any of this info incorrect...will someone please correct me???
i, too, do not want to hurt my babies...and beside ants being pests...i
am allergic to them!!!!
