Create a pet video and win an iPod... Ferrets should have a great chance
over cats and dogs in the Incredible Pets section and we all know that
they are humorous! :-)
We got our first ferret because Steve thought that I wanted one and he
wanted me happy while I thought that he wanted one and I wanted him
happy. The reality was that neither of us much wanted one until AFTER
we got to know them. Here it is 20 years later...
>I'm wanting all the ferret related health sites(adv, ece, adrenal,
>ect...)
A wonderful links page for exactly this topic and a bit more (up to date,
highly inclusive, carefully maintained, etc.) is the Critical Reference
Section at:

Your vet may want to join the Ferret Health List; it's not just for vets
but vets do ask ferret specialist vets questions on there, too:

Allergies: while it is true that more commonly people are reacting to
something other than the ferret it is possible to react to the ferret,
and such allergies can be severe. A few years ago the first person to
almost die of an allergy to ferrets made medical history. I realize that
those who do not have allergies often have no idea what it is like to not
be able to breathe, but allergies in general are not minor things for a
number of people and allergies in general do result in a sad number of
deaths each year. I agree that the people should consider that something
else may be setting off the roommate's problems, but it could still be
the ferret and we do not know if the person has minor allergies with
sneezing, light coughing, runny eyes, dry eyes, etc., or a major allergy
with seriously compromised respiratory pathway or other serious
responses.
