For the longest time (8+years) we went without central air.  I had a very
frgile little guy (Romeo) and he liked to roam about the whole house.  I
couldn't see caging him up all day so we were left with the one and only
option.  Central Air!  OK OK sure a window unit would work, but he is
throughout the house.  I sure do miss him... but see what extremes ferrets
can push you to!!
