Wolfie was kind enough to E-mail me something about a web page on Marshall
Farms puppy mill that shows distribution sites. Thank you Wolfie. I
spent considerable time with others investigating as best we could this
puppy mill on-line a year or two ago, and did not see this web page. I
personally cannot find it now either. Could you please give us the site?
I would really need to see valid evidence concerning this, as Sandi has
evidence indicating MF ferrets went straight to Petco in her area, and
all of the managers in my area for years said the ferrets came directly
from MF.
When there was a group of us looking things up on Marshall Farms puppy
mill, we just presented things we read from reliable sources that were
not from PETA, since there are people who do not care for them. We did
not offer gossip or try to push off anything as a fact that had no
substantiation. BIG set these rules for us. If you want to learn about
the Marshall Farm puppy mill-look in the FML archives. Many hours were
spent gathering info for ALL FML members.
I thank Wolfie very much for her writings, and for Sukie and her writings.
And I hope Sukie feels better soon. No offense to either of these fine
ladies. I just don't want any Newbies reading hearsay on this issue from
distinguished writers of the FML and believing it must be true because of
the writer his or herself.
I am willing to learn and modify my theories and thoughts on subjects.
But not based merely on hearsay-no matter how distinguished the person
presenting the hearsay. During the debates about a year ago-I could
easily have pressed the fact that the managers told me the ferrets came
directly from MF. But I never did. I would not want to "win" a point by
hearsay. No one WINS. We all need to make informed decisions, and act
on them in the manner we deem appropriate. Decisions based on hearsay
are not informed decisions .
I spent several hours looking tonight and found no web page about
distributors. But I am pretty computer dense. So I look forward to
evidence that can be verified.
I word things poorly. So if I offended anyone by this writing-you have
my very, very real apologies.
[Moderator's note: The page of distributors is a link right on Marshall's
home page. About a third of the way down the page it says "Click here to
view Marshall Pet Products, Inc. Authorized U.S. distributors." The link
translates to http://www.marshallpet.com/resources/us_dist.asp
Doesn't mean much to me by itself -- probably shouldn't read more into it
than is apparent. In other words, very little. I mean that in a neutral
sense, BTW. BIG]
