A number of people have subscribed to Yahoo Egroups FOB Ferret Board for
over 6 months and the Moderator hasn't accepted new members to this board
for over 6 months.  Am asking any ferret owner, why would you want to
join a group when only privilaged members are welcome?  What is this
board hiding?

If your not part of the solution, don't be part of the problem.
 
[Moderator's note: I'm subscribed to that group, and as far as I see,
they/we are hiding nothing.  The simple fact is that moderating a group
takes a lot of work.  And the more subscribers there are, the more work
it takes.  Many groups impose subscriber limits when the moderator's
limits are reached.
 
Anyhow, I don't want to speak for that group's moderator.  But I know
she's probably too busy to read your note here, so that's MY answer.
