This in response to Roger Vaughn's post.  I hope this is a concept that
catches on because I too have trouble with the term "Owner".
 
Additionally, I'm not so fond of the word "pet".  If we expect our society
to evolve into a kinder gentler place that exhibits fair and humane
treatment of all living things great and small, our terminology needs to
evolve as well.  I prefer the term companion as it applies to the humans
and the critters.
 
BTW, my least favorite phrase....."Get rid of".
Grrrrrrr.
