Jen,
We took four from Julie Fossa here, though I was prepared to take more if
needed. Those four were in terrible shape. No muscle tone, no idea how
to play, Dook, or anything. They didn't even know what their new hammock
and sleepsack was for! Their coats were in poor condition. All they did
was sleep and stare. When put out to play, they just stood there looking
around. They had obviously never felt any kind of freedom outside their
cages, and their lack of muscle tone and healthy behavior shows it
plainly. They did not bite, unbelievably, these four little neglected
ferrets fought to give me kisses. Loved to be cuddled and held, were so
damn GRATEFUL to be shown just a scrap of affection. I cried for them
many times thankful that your mistreatment and neglect did not break their
spirits. They thankfully do not have ADV. These four went straight to a
foster home that came forward, and were allowed to stay on permanently.
We didn't want them to suffer another transition. They are ONLY NOW
learning to dance and play and Dook. They are healthy and happy.
Once little girl who is deaf is showing signs of adrenal (now noticeable
since they are all in healthy coat after a good diet and excercise)which
will be checked by our vet and all costs covered by my shelter since they
are in permanent foster care.
I find your attitude repugnant to say the least. I feel such outrage
that you neglected these ferrets so badly and have the bollux to criticize
those of us who cleaned up your mess. Ferrets cared for properly do not
STINK. You have condemned yourself by your very own words. I find myself
unable to say anything more that is civil. It is a shame that you are
blind to your own mistakes. I can only hope and pray that no more
innocent little fuzzies find themselves under your care.
